Recent empties (cruelty free brands)

I used to hate using up products and would save tiny bits so I still had some left. Not any more! I love using products up these days because it probably means I’ve loved using something, and if not it means I’m getting rid of something which means more space. I recently filmed a video sharing all my recently used up skincare and related products, which you can view below or on YouTube:

Here’s a short review of each of the products mentioned…

Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub* (125ml, £9.99)
Lovely light scrub which smells amazing, provides gentle exfoliation, and helps to clear skin from blemishes. I used this once or twice a week in the shower and really liked it.
Repurchase? Not at the moment as I have two other scrubs I’m using, but I would reconsider in future as it’s a great product and fantastic value.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel* (100ml, £31.00)
Spa-like scent and luxurious texture gel which goes into a nourishing milk with water. Helps to cleanse without stripping the skin. My go to morning cleanser. It’s pricier than items I usually use but it’s worth the extra expense.
Repurchase? Yes, I have a 200ml one ready to use once I’ve finished testing a couple of new cleansers.

Esse Gel Cleanser* (10ml sample, full size is 100ml for £25.00)
Unusual scent that is quite a strong mint smell so almost feels like applying a gel toothpaste to your skin. Good for waking you up in the morning but not the sort of thing I particularly enjoyed using.
Repurchase? Unlikely – I much prefer the Oskia one.

Balm Balm Chamomile Floral Water Hydrosol* (30ml, £8.50)
Soothing spray toner which acts as a great way to tone and add moisture to your skin. Not a huge fan of the scent of this one.
Repurchase? Not this scent.

Balm Balm Rose Floral Water Hydrosol (15ml sample, 30ml is £7.50)
Gentle toner with a fresh rose scent; lovely product.
Repurchase? Yes, I have the spray version of this now.

Joik Silky Facial Serum (10ml, full size is 30ml for £17.00)
Lovely light yet nourishing oil serum which absorbs well and doesn’t leave skin looking greasy. Lovely base for richer moisturisers or for make up. Amazing product!
Repurchase? Yes, I have the full size of this and really enjoy using it.

Laidbare Spot The Difference* (30ml, £6.99)
Versatile product which can be used to treat specific blemishes or can be used to clear lingering marks from blemishes. I used it for the latter and found it very effective.
Repurchase? Yes, I have another of these now which I use whenever I have blemishes.

Sukin Super Greens Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser* (125ml, £9.99)
Beautiful moisturiser which suits all skin types and smells amazing. Fantastic base for make up.
Repurchase? Yes, I have another of these already.

Laidbare From Dusk Till Dawn* (30ml, £12.99)
Nourishing facial oil which works incredibly well as a final skincare stage at night. Deeply moisturising and enjoyable to use.
Repurchase? Yes, I have another of these I’ll be using when I finished testing some other night creams.

Mádara Time Miracle Total Renewal Night Cream* (20ml, full size is 50ml for £42.00)
Blue-green coloured night cream which absorbs into skin easily and supports skin overnight. Great for more mature skin and those who prefer creams to oils.
Repurchase? Probably not as I prefer the Laidbare From Dusk Till Dawn.

Indigenous Beauty Natural Deodorant Cream – Uplifting (Orange & Grapefruit) (60ml, £11.99)
Fresh scented cream deodorant effective all day, even when exercising. Easy to use though a little grainy in texture.
Repurchase? Possibly. The texture could be smoother but the scent, effectiveness, and price mean I’d quite probably repurchase in future. However, it doesn’t seem to be on LoveLula anymore 🙁

Soap & Glory Rich & Foamous Dual-Use Shower & Bath Body Wash (500ml, £6.50)
Moisturising shower gel which smells amazing and is great for those who don’t dedicate time to moisturising their body (but know they probably should!).
Repurchase? Yes, we always have at least one of these in.

Freedom Pro Studio Brush Bath Sanitising Brush Cleanser (doesn’t seem to be available, imagine the Makeup Revolution Solid Brush Cleaner* is similar)
Easy to use solid make up brush cleanser with a fresh scent. Perfect for cleaning your brushes with a cleansing glove (I have the Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove*).
Repurchase? Probably not; I’m exploring alternatives (let me know if you have any recommendations!)
