I love a good lip balm! Despite having so many lip balms and loving many of them, I seem to always want to collect more. So when I had an opportunity to test one of these, I gratefully accepted.
I’ve not come across the brand before, but was excited to try them based on the description which says:
Bali Balm is a new luxury lip-balm brand for men and women. Its rich, intensive formula is both vegan and 100% natural, containing plant oils high in antioxidants and antibacterial properties. Bali Balm has been perfected to absorb quickly and lock in moisture without leaving a waxy film on the surface of your lips.
I was sent the cinnamon and burnt orange one which is described as:
A joyous combination of toasty spiced Cinnamon paired with sumptuous caramelised organic Orange. Muscovado sweetness meets heady aromas to provide an affectionate glow on the lips.
The delightful aromas of toasted cinnamon and sweet caramelised orange peel infuse this vitamin-rich lip balm. Cinnamon is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help improve blood circulation for plumper, more kissable lips. Orange peel is packed with antioxidants and provides a sweet, energising aroma.
So, what’s it like? Well, I have to say I’m impressed (and having tried so many lip balms it takes something special to impress me!). It’s a very thick balm so it can be a bit tricky to use at first, but the applicator works really well and it smooths across the lips nicely. It’s a nice smooth consistency, not at all grainy as some lip balms can be.
The cinnamon definitely seems to give it a bit of a kick so it does tingle slightly (in a good way). I guess this is what plumps the lips. It feels nice!
I’m not sure I’d agree that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a film, as I find it does, but that’s what I want in a lip balm. It’s not sticky but it stays on the lips and keep them moisturised for a while.
It doesn’t have any tint to it, but does provide a slight sheen which I like.
Rich, thick lip balm which moisturises and nourishes lips well. Indulgent scent (and taste!) which reminds me of winter.
Not sure. I do really like it, but I have so many lip balms and I’m not sure this fulfils a category that I don’t already have filled!
