Are you looking for steps forward to challenges you’re experiencing?
Are you willing to share your experiences to help yourself and others?
Are you ready to be part of a group of supportive peers?
Action Learning Sets are a form of group coaching where peers come together to share their experiences and challenges and support each other in taking steps forward. They offer similar benefits to coaching including providing a safe space to explore current issues and dedicated support for you and your specific situation.
In addition, action learning sets offer the advantage of being part of a group of peers which means developing a support network and developing skills in supporting others. They provide a source of support during periods of change.
You’ll come to your group with an open mind, a willingness to learn, motivation to address current issues and challenges, and a desire to support your own development and the development of others.
You’ll leave each day with a sense of clarity, an action plan, and a stronger support network.
My key drivers in life are understanding how things (and people) work, sharing my learning, and showing appreciation for others. These underpin almost everything I do in life and are a key part of what drives me in my work.
As a coach, I fully believe that we all have the resources we need within us, and we all have such incredible potential – Action Learning Sets are an opportunity to help you recognise that and help you go on to be, do and have everything you wish for in work and in life.
How we will work together
I find the optimum group size is 4-6 people; ideally people who do not work together. We meet online for a full day, with plenty of breaks throughout the day (and a long lunch break!).
As an action learning set facilitator, I will guide the process and we’ll work collaboratively to create the optimum learning environment for all. We will work together to ensure the group is supporting each other in the best way possible and everyone has a chance to share their current challenge.
Never been part of an Action Learning Set?
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I’ll be providing training on coaching and Action Learning Sets to give you all the tools you need to make the most of an Action Learning Set. This is a requirement for attending an Action Learning Set (unless you’ve already received the training from me), but you may also choose to do this as a standalone training course to learn more and get some coaching experience.
The training includes:
- What is coaching?
- Listening skills
- Effective questioning
- Coaching techniques
- Coaching practice
- What is an action learning set?
- Action learning set roles and responsibilities
- Action learning set structure
